CING has announced that their second CING Lecture will be taking place in November.
The inspirational speaker they have chosen for this lecture has gained vast experience building up her highly successful company over 26 years, overseeing its growth from a family business into a global leader with 30 offices worldwide.
They are keeping her identity secret for the time being but will be releasing a different clue to her identity every day. Keep checking their event page for the clues, or follow #CINGsecret on twitter!
Creative England is now open for business, announcing its first seven Board members and three key Senior Management appointments, and outlining details of new funding available for filmmakers in the English regions outside London.

DIBI (pronounced “dibby”), is the annual Design It. Build It. Conference held at The Sage Gateshead in the North East of England. Innospace presents: An event geared towards enterprising students who want to start their own business.
Bruce Thomas is the MD of modern-english, one of the UKs leading social media development agencies and Innospace company. Working mainly with entertainment brands across the UK, modern-english have recently been appointed as the English Cricket Boards social media agency delivering new ways for fans of cricket to engage with the sport.
Bruce will enlighten you as to the power of social media by mainly looking at Facebook and ways to build a successful user network who engage with your brand. He will also discuss application-led media and mobile applications.
Two further Innospace businesses will be sharing their experiences of starting their business during or shortly after university, the challenges they faced and the rewards (speakers to be confirmed).
Following the event there will be a chance to network and refreshments will be provided.

BRAIN WASH is an independent short film festival which launched in London in November 2009. In October 2010 BRAIN WASH MANCHESTER played to a packed out room in the Northern Quarter's popular Bay Horse Pub.
Now in its second year BRAIN WASH MANCHESTER is pleased to announce a return to the venue, hosting a new showcase of fantastic short films on January 27th 2011 at 7.30pm.
Entry is FREE and the line up has been curated by Mike Scott, a young director from the North West, currently studying Contemporary Film and Video at MMU.
Brain Wash is a platform for up-and-coming UK filmmakers to showcase their work and it offers a programme of innovative, refreshing and simply interesting short films. Since launching just over a year ago, Brain Wash has held events in London, Birmingham and New York.
