Web entrepreneur Mike Lehan presents a series of short courses on web development, supported by MMU’s business accelerator, Innospace.

Ever used the web? Chances are you have, and in fact are probably reading this in a web browser. The web is increasingly critical to the daily life of our society; businesses who shun the web don’t last long, and even those who have a presence often struggle to understand it. For the next generation of businesses and workers an understanding of the web is essential, to everyone from marketers to artists, from computer scientists to psychologists. So why not come and learn about it?

Web entrepreneur Mike Lehan presents a series of short courses on web development, supported by MMU’s business accelerator, Innospace. The courses are designed to appeal to a wide range of existing skill levels, with only a basic knowledge of how to use a computer required. If you’re in business and want to know what your developers are talking about, if you’re a programmer but want to know how to make attractive websites or if you’re a designer who wants to turn your designs into fully interactive websites this course is for you. Students and non-students welcome.

The first 5 sessions in the course are intended for everyone. The final 3 are more in depth programming and are relevant for those who wish to develop their own web applications. You can decided at any time whether you wish to complete just the first 5 sessions or the full course. No qualifications are offered, but a healthy portfolio is worth more on a CV than any number of accolades!
