Matching business school expertise with creative businesses
The NESTA funded Manchester Metropolitan University Creative Business Catalyst Scheme will shortly be recruiting the region’s most talented business students and asking them to use their expertise in supporting growth in the creative industries sector.
If you are a small-scale creative business in the North West and would like to benefit from cost effective consultancy advice we want to hear from you.
What is the Creative Business Catalyst Scheme?
The Creative Business Catalyst Scheme is funded by NESTA with support from the Higher Education Funding Council for England (HEFCE). It tests a model of business support for small-scale creative businesses with the potential for growth by bringing them together with teams of post-experience MBA students from Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) to examine the business and stimulate growth.
How does it work?
The scheme aims to bring together creative companies with teams of post-experience MBA students from the MMU business school to examine the business and help stimulate innovation.
A small team of between 3 – 6 students will work intensively with you over a period of between 6 and 20 weeks (dependent upon the business school curriculum) to undertake a programme of business advice, addressing strategic business needs and providing marketing, personnel and financial advice. At the end of the period the students will produce a report which will be made available to you.
