Connect2Media (formerly Hands-on Mobile). Industry Collaboration at MMU games and Usability Lab

The Computer Games Technology group at MMU provides leadership in games software development, games usability and games technology research.

Connect2Media has provided the industry leadership and input for the various undergraduate students through regular seminars at MMU. Connect2Media has provided industrial placement for MMU games technology students. At master's level, industry collaboration has helped to design the new MSc Digital Media Computing programme.

The Games and Usability Lab has successfully organised the 2007 Cybergames International conference on Games Research and Development and the 2009 MAGIC-Manchester Animation, Games and Interaction Conference. Hands-On Mobile was a lead sponsor at the Cybergames 2007 conference held at MMU. The Games and Usability Lab has also attracted speakers and delegates from many game companies including Sony Computer Entertainment, NWV+M, RARE, Microsoft, Craft Animations, KAP13, IGDA and Smasmouth Games.
